Archive for the Psychology of Religion

The Official Journal of the IAPR

Since 1914 the IAPR publishes the Archiv für Religionspsychologie/Archive for the Psychology of Religion. For many years the journal was published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht in Göttingen, Germany. From volume 26 (2004) on the journal is published by Brill in Leiden, The Netherlands.

In 2009, the Archive changed from a yearbook to three issues per year (Spring, Summer, Fall). The editors of the Archive are located in different continents and countries, and are firmly committed to fostering truly international communication among psychologists interested in the scientific study of religious phenomena in all religious traditions. The Archive for the Psychology of Religion/Archiv für Religionspsychologie is open to all scientific methodologies, quantitative and qualitative. It publishes research reports and shorter research notes, but also (substantially longer) texts that propose innovative conceptual and theoretical perspectives in the psychology of religion.

From 2007 on the IAPR regular membership fee includes a subscription to the Archive as print version. The texts of the Archive are also available online (see: http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/brill/arp/). Submissions for the journal are welcome; For more details see: http://www.brill.nl/arp. Submissions need to be uploaded electronically into the the Editorial Manager system.
